Virtual Private Network (VPN) Accelerators
Tachyon’s Secure Traffic Accelerator Remote (STAR) and Secure Traffic Accelerator Central (STAC) VPN accelerators maintain IPSec or proprietary security protocols for networks with high security requirements - without sacrificing performance.
Fast and reliable delivery of encrypted data requires a device at both ends of the link. Working in concert, the STAR and STAC accelerate TCP/IP traffic prior to encryption and transmission. STAC resides between Tachyon's Gateway and the headquarters' LAN, and communicates with STAR, which is located at the remote LAN. A single STAC can communicate with as many remote locations as the operation requires, delivering reliable security and performance without costly upgrades.
