VSAT Equipment Solutions for Fixed, Portable and Comms-on-the Move (COTM) Applications

As a part of its wideband SATCOM portfolio, Tachyon provides complete VSAT equipment solutions that include the Indoor Unit (IDU) or modem and the Outdoor Unit (ODU), which is comprised of the satellite dish, mount, Block Up-Converter (BUC), Low Noise Block down-converter (LNB) and the boom/feed assembly.

Tachyon’s VSAT equipment solutions are used by customers in a variety of applications and scenarios. These range from the US Army Airborne Command who need to transmit mission critical data, voice and video in real-time from air to ground, to major energy companies such as Shell and Iberdrola who require reliable, ruggedized solutions for their remote sites, to events and entertainment companies such as NASCAR, ESPN and MTV who require portable, easy-to-deploy solutions.

Tachyon supports its customers at all stages of program deployment. We engineer hardware solutions to meet customer needs, whether they use Tachyon equipment or require additional vendor hardware. For example, the iDirect iConnex e850mp satellite router board featured in our ATR-9300 terminal has embedded AES encryption and TRANSEC capabilities. By operating multiple technology platforms from different vendors, we are confident in our ability to execute the very best wideband SATCOM solutions for our customers.
